Thomas Page Nelson House

Our team worked on a green renovation of this 27,000 sf Georgian Revival gem. Restoring the many fireplaces was a big part of the fun at the Thomas Page Nelson House - built in 1896 for a couple that was the center of society in Washington DC. Each one is different and they define every major room in the house. A big challenge was bringing in gas lines and technology without disturbing the gorgeous plaster and trim work.

We’ve worked to breathe new life into this stair designed by Stanford White (1853-1906) of McKim, Mead & White. Work in cities often includes design that is sympathetic to historic preservation. Renovation is complete with some facade restoration and a new green roof + deck.
